The deadline for 2025 applications has now passed.

Culture Night

We are seeking proposals for events for Culture Night which is taking place on Friday 19th September. Culture Night is a key moment in the national calendar which celebrates the richness and diversity of culture in Ireland today. Culture Night is “One Night for All” as it invites everyone, everywhere, on one night, to discover and celebrate all that our culture is today.

We are offering support for small scale events across Kerry, which are to be free to the public. The focus is on events (indoor and outdoor) such as open studios, workshops, performances, talks, tours, spectacle, exhibitions and showcases which promote culture. In line with The Arts Council of Ireland’s Paying the Artist Policy, please ensure that artists who are invited to perform and participate are paid. For 2025, we are encouraging more inclusive and innovative arts events, suitable for a range of audience types, and we are also allocating additional funding for events that align to the Arts Council of Ireland’s Equality, Human Rights and Diversity Policy and Strategy.

The following list demonstrates the wide range of people and institutions who help make Culture Night happen each year, and who will hopefully consider making an application again this year; the public, artists, performing groups, galleries, museums, sports clubs, libraries, arts centres, craft workers, studios, workshops, theatres, public spaces, broadcasters, schools, community groups, government departments, state agencies, public bodies, transport companies, universities, shops and many more.

If you do not require support, but would like to have an event considered for the county programme, please also complete the online application form.

Deadline: 5pm, 22nd May
