Mary Jane Verniere is an artist who works with steel, copper and bronze. She studied with Master Blacksmiths Brian Brazeal in San Juan Capistrano, California and Alfred Habermann in the Czech Republic. She moved from California to Ireland in 2000 and established the Glen Forge in County Kerry. Her work is characterized by finely crafted traditional metal smithing techniques combined with a contemporary approach to design and colour, resulting in pieces that are elegant strong and dynamic. Mary Jane has exhibited in solo and group shows in Noth America, Ireland and Europe. Her work is in private and corporate collections in Ireland and the United States of America. Her work is on exhibit at the Kilcock Art Gallery in Kilcock and the Greenlane Gallery in Dingle.
