Biography
Living on the Dingle Peninsula, people and nature completely immerse me in their beauty. They are a constant stimulus to my creative expression. In my paintings I strive not to solely capture the outward appearance of things, but their significance for me. I am a contemporary realist painter with a constant need to paint the things in life that go un-noticed and which are often most interesting and beautiful. I believe that if we took the time to look more closely at things we would truly have our eyes opened to the beauty in even the most mundane. I see my paintings as my unique fingerprint on the world, my interpretations of images I have dreamed, imagined or seen. As an artist my goal is achieved when people tell me that my artworks speak to them, when my creations touch their hearts and also lift their spirits.
