Cian Lynch is a songwriter, musician and performer from North Kerry. Having studied classical piano and violin from a young age, Cian made the move towards guitar and folk music. Not this style blends story telling with powerful arrangements.
Cian’s debut EP, ‘Away from Here’, recorded in the 150 year old Kearney Rhodes Studio in New Zealand was praised for it’s subdued authority and warm sound. Cian has also provided music for the Kerry made short film ‘Afraid Of?’ currently doing the rounds on the Irish festival circuit.
A self thought recording and mixing engineer, Cian is finishing the production of his debut album. Arranged and recorded in a number of locations along the wild atlantic way, the LP combines folk guitar with lonesome piano, percussion and traditional instruments. The result is an atmospheric backdrop to tales of love, adventure and sadness writtern over two years and across three continents.
