Bob Scott terms his work ” The Scenery of North Kerry”, but his “landscape” is human, cultural and social, as well as natural. His basically figurative work, in oils, captures places, buildings, people at work and play, but his interest goes beyond representation, with an emphasis on form and composition, and portrayal of the emotional response to views and activities. A selection of his work is exhibited in a permanent, but changing, public exhibition in the Ballyduff Family Resource Centre, near where he lives. Visits to his private gallery / home studio can be arranged by appointment. He puts a daily blog about his new work on his website.
