Audrey Atkinson
Biography
Audrey Atkinson’s printmaking and textile techniques derive from ‘bursts’ of inspiration within everyday life. Audrey’s core artistic endeavors explore colours and shapes inspired by the natural surroundings of Kerry and re-translated into abstract motifs and other combinations. Audrey’s work througout college explored concepts involving Feminism, Victorian Era data collection, and exploration of urban development and it’s impact on the natural world. Audrey’s key artistic heroes include Andy Warhol, Nancy Spero, Julia Margaret Cameron, and Orla Kiely – just to name a few. Audrey currently works from home in her studio in her spare time and is very active within the local community. Audrey hopes to open a communal workshop and studio space open to the public one day
